Immunization Records: If you have not returned the slip that was included in last week’s envelope, please do so as soon as possible.

CHILD PICK UP: Parents, please drive all the way to the front of the line before picking up your children.  If you need to talk to a staff member, please park in a parking space or in the grass before doing so.  Also, please relay this information to everyone else who picks up your children.

WEEKLY ENVELOPES: Please be sure to empty your envelope when you sign it. Several are being returned signed with the information sheets, receipts, etc. still in them. 

Would you like to support our teachers?  Over the next few weeks, there will be a Teacher Wish List available to parents.  If you purchase any of these items for the teachers, please bring them to Miss Bender’s office.  For any questions about the items, please contact Miss Bender.

  1. Brightly colored dry erase markers—fun colors—NOT red, blue, or green (Mrs. Hursh)
  2. Learning games for computer (Mrs. Jackson)
  3. Big floor puzzles for ages 5-8 (Mrs. Jackson)
  4. Funds to buy books and educational games (Ms. Brown)
  5. A walkway between buildings 🙂  (Ms. Brown)
  6. Small packs of colored pencils (Mrs. Wilkins)

September 12, 2017

School Portraits will be taken this Thursday, September 14.  There were order forms for school pictures in your envelopes last week.  If you would like to order individual or group pictures, fill out the form and include the proper payment.  Please give it to your child to give to the photographer when your child’s picture is taken on September 14.  If you need another order form, please contact the school office.

Immunization Records: If your child does not have an updated Immunization Sheet, a slip has been included in your envelope which requests that you turn in a new one by the end of this week (September 15, 2017).

Dress-Out Day: There will be an out-of-uniform day this Friday, September 15, for students who said their Scripture on time, have had no detentions, and have not been on red.  The dress code is as follows: Guys may wear knee-length shorts, loose-fitting jeans, or loose-fitting sweatpants. Girls may wear knee-length skirts, knee-length shorts, loose-fitting jeans, or loose-fitting sweatpants. Both guys and girls may wear loose-fitting T-shirts with appropriate designs.

September 5, 2017

Tuition: Statements were sent home last week.  Tuition was due on September 1st.  A late fee will be charged after September 10th.

Mennonite Christian Fellowship is inviting all families to a family fun night this Sunday evening, September 10.  A softball game will start at 4:00.  There will be inflatable slides for the children.  Supper will be at 6:00.  Conecuh and hot dogs will be provided along with drinks and funnel cakes. Please bring lawn chairs.

If you have not turned in your child’s immunization records, please do so as soon as possible.

 There are a few extra yearbooks for sale in the office.  Each yearbook is $15.00.  Please talk to Miss Bender if you would like to purchase one.

If you know your child will miss school due to appointments, please let us know in advance (at least the day before) so we can send their school work home with them for the missed day.

There is a prayer calendar in each envelope. Please take time to pray for each student, staff member, and board member throughout each month. Thank you!

Pizza/Subway order forms for the rest of the month of August are going home today. Please include the money and fill out the form, then return it the following day. We need to receive the order forms promptly or we may not be able to order your child’s food. We will rotate cheese, sausage, and pepperoni pizza on Fridays and ham and turkey subs on Mondays. A Pizza/Subway form for the month of September will be sent home next week.

Church-School Enrollment forms are being sent home today. Please take time to complete the form and sigh BOTH dark gray lines.

There are a few extra yearbooks for sale in the office. Each yearbook is $15.00. Please talk to Miss Bender if you would like to purchase one.

Please read all enclosed information carefully! It is VERY important!

Envelope: Every Tuesday there will be an envelope that goes home with a student in each family. Please look at ALL of the information in the envelope, sign the envelope, and return it to school the next day. If the envelope is lost, there will be a $3.00 replacement fee.

Due to a funeral of a Mennonite Christian Fellowship Church member, school will be canceled on Thursday, August 17, 2017.

Bibles: This year, we are using the English Standard Version (ESV) rather than the New International Version (NIV). All students (except kindergarten) are required to have an ESV Bible at school.

There will be an out-of-uniform day this Friday, August 18, for students who brought at least one parent or guardian to the meeting Monday evening. The dress code will be P.E. dress code: Girls may wear jeans, knee-length shorts, knee-length skirts, or loose-fitting sweat pants. On top, girls may wear a nice dress shirt or an appropriate T-shirt. Boys may wear knee-length shorts, loose-fitting jeans, or loose-fitting sweat pants. On top, they may wear a polo or an appropriate T-shirt. These students may wear flip-flops on Friday.

Remember to write your child’s name on ALL of his/her belongings. If your child misplaces something, the lost and found is located in Miss Bender’s office.

If you are interested in after-school care, please contact Miss Bender (251-368-5499) or Mr. Battles. After-school care will be on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays until 5:30 PM. The cost will be $5 an hour per child.

There will NOT be pizza this Friday.

Welcome back to school!

Parent/Staff meeting will be Monday, August 14, at 7:00 PM.  This is a very important meeting to attend.  Important school information will be given at this meeting.

There will be an out of uniform day Friday, August 18, for the students who bring at least one parent or guardian to the meeting Monday evening.
