Krispy Kreme fundraiser money is due tomorrow, February 21.  We will profit approximately $2,100 on this fundraiser with 55% of families participating.

Weekly envelopes: Please return your envelope promptly! If envelopes are lost or turned in excessively late, a new one must be purchased. A new envelope costs $3.00.

The yearbook committee is selling ads for the yearbook.  You may purchase 1/4 page for $60, 1/2 page for $90 or a whole page for $120.  This is a great way to advertise your business, or to note appreciation to a teacher or your child in school.  Yearbooks will be released this summer/fall.

Lost & Found: We have accumulated a large amount of items in Lost & Found. All lost and found items are located on a table outside of Miss Bender’s office. All unclaimed Lost & Found items will be taken to the We Care Thrift Store this Friday, February 23.

Krispy Kreme doughnuts will be arriving tomorrow morning!  Please pick up your doughnuts in the gym when you drop off your child(ren).  We sold 525 dozen doughnuts.  There will be extra doughnuts available for purchase.  Each student will get a free doughnut at their snack time, so you do not need to send a snack tomorrow.

Congratulations to the top three highest qualifying sellers:  1st place, Max Shaw $367.00 (47 doz.);  2nd place, Leah McMorris $288.00 (36 doz.); 3rd place, Kamryn Mothershed $235.00 (29 doz.)!  Great job also to the following people who sold 15 or more dozen:  Jaylin Barnett, Logan Brown & Keleigh Jackson, Patrick Byrd, Paxton Hobbs, Morgan Jury, Lorelai Odom, Allison Richerson, Gabe Ross, Tori & Lexi Strength, and Abby & Jace Weber.  Thank you to each family who participated in this fundraiser!

Fruit money was due last week.  Please turn in your money tomorrow if you haven’t already done so.  We would still welcome contributions from those who chose to opt out of participating.

Krispy Kreme fundraiser orders are due next Wednesday, February 7.

School Mall Postcard Books are due This Thursday February 1. “BOOKS MUST BE COMPLETED IN BLUE OR BLACK INK”. Participants who turn in booklets by Thursday will qualify to be entered in a drawing for a Remote Control Minion. The winner will be announced Friday afternoon.

Gym Night: This Friday, February 2nd.  From 5:30-7:30 PM, the ACS students from 7th – 12th grades will be having a gym night and food with MCF youth group.

NO SCHOOL TOMORROW!  We have decided to cancel school tomorrow, January 17, due to bad weather. 

Fundraiser fruit is going to arrive this Thursday afternoon at 4:00.  Please pick up your fruit between 4:30 and 6:00.  The fruit will be located on the basement patio, as usual. There is a basketball game that evening, so please be mindful of people arriving for that. We will keep the area in front of the basement patio clear for those arriving for fruit. Please check your email regularly just in case there are any changes.  We are also asking that you do not pay for your fruit that evening. 2018 ACS MINI CHEER CLINIC

DETAILS:
We are so EXCITED to announce the details of our  2018 ACS Mini Cheer Clinic. This is for girls from K4-6th grades.  Mini Cheerleaders will be escorted after school directly to the gym where they will change into PE Clothes, eat a light sack (please send with your child), and begin practicing with our cheerleaders. Mini Cheerleaders will be taught various cheers/chants and a couple of stunts. They will perform with our cheerleaders during the varsity game on Thursday, January 25th. Mini Cheerleaders will receive free admission into the game, as well as a t-shirt, bow and mini pom-poms. Mini Cheerleaders will wear their t-shirt and black pants/leggings with tennis shoes to the game. We are beyond excited to work with your daughter!

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day: There will NOT be school next Monday, January 15th, in honor of MLK Day. 

Tuition statements for the month of January were sent home before Christmas break.  Tuition was due on January 1stA late fee will be charged after January 10th.

Happy New Year!  We hope you had a wonderful Christmas Break!

Tuition statements for the month of January were sent home before Christmas break.  Tuition was due on January 1st.  A late fee will be charged after January 10th.

Citrus Fruit Fundraiser orders are due now.  In order to qualify for prizes, your order must be turned in by tomorrow, January 4.  ALL orders need to be turned in by the end of the day this Friday, January 5, as our school order must be placed on Monday.

Calendars: We have 4 calendars for sale that are leftover from our fundraiser.  They are $6 each. Please call the school office if you are interested in purchasing any. 

Reminder: ALL tardy students must check in at the Secretary’s office when they arrive at school.

Christmas Program: This Friday, December 8th, the students will participate in the annual Christmas Program at 7:00 PM.  Students MUST arrive by 6:30 PM (Jr./Sr. High choir students MUST arrive at the Chapel [in the church sanctuary] by 6:00 PM).  There will be light refreshments after the performance.  We are asking that each family provide one salty or one sweet snack.  Please bring enough food for at least 15 servings.  We will provide punch, water, and coffee for everyoneVolunteers are also needed during this time.  If you would like to volunteer, please fill out the form at the bottom of this sheet and return it with the envelope ASAP.  Thank you to those of you who have already volunteered!

Dress for Christmas Program: Formal attire in Christmas colors.  Please make sure that shirts/dresses have sleeves and high necklines, and that dresses/skirts are knee-length.  Clothing should not be tight-fitting.

Thank you to everyone who participated in this fundraiser!  We sold 212 calendars and 310 bags of coffee.  Congratulations to the top three highest sellers: 1st place, Eli Copenhaver $375.50; 2nd place, Caeden Battles $341.00; 3rd place, Owen, Helen, Jack, and Hank Weber $312.50!  Money is due Wednesday, November 15.

For those of you who opted out of participating in this fundraiser, we encourage you to send in the suggested amount of $60.00 by that date as well.

CHILD PICK UP: Parents, please drive all the way to the front of the line before picking up your children.  If you need to talk to a staff member, please park in a parking space or in the grass before doing so.  Also, please relay this information to everyone else who picks up your children.

School Portraits will be taken this Thursday, September 14.  There were order forms for school pictures in your envelopes last week.  If you would like to order individual or group pictures, fill out the form and include the proper payment.  Please give it to your child to give to the photographer when your child’s picture is taken on September 14.  If you need another order form, please contact the school office.

Immunization Records: If your child does not have an updated Immunization Sheet, a slip has been included in your envelope which requests that you turn in a new one by the end of this week (September 15, 2017).

Mennonite Christian Fellowship is inviting all families to a family fun night this Sunday evening, September 10.  A softball game will start at 4:00.  There will be inflatable slides for the children.  Supper will be at 6:00.  Conecuh and hot dogs will be provided along with drinks and funnel cakes. Please bring lawn chairs.

If you have not turned in your child’s immunization records, please do so as soon as possible.

Envelope: Every Tuesday there will be an envelope that goes home with a student in each family. Please look at ALL of the information in the envelope, sign the envelope, and return it to school the next day. If the envelope is lost, there will be a $3.00 replacement fee.

Due to a funeral of a Mennonite Christian Fellowship Church member, school will be canceled on Thursday, August 17, 2017.

Bibles: This year, we are using the English Standard Version (ESV) rather than the New International Version (NIV). All students (except kindergarten) are required to have an ESV Bible at school.

There will be an out-of-uniform day this Friday, August 18, for students who brought at least one parent or guardian to the meeting Monday evening.
