Please note we are short one bag of Jamaican Me Crazy Whole Bean. If you received an extra one with your order, please return it to Miss Bender so we can give it to the person who ordered it.  Also, due to having to order the calendars in boxes of 25, we have 11 extra calendars.  Please help us sell them.  We have a few extra bags of ground coffee: Nicaragua, Breakfast Blend, Jamaican Me Crazy, and French Vanilla.  Please talk to Miss Bender if you are interested in purchasing extra items.

Money is due Wednesday, November 15.  For those of you who opted out of participating in this fundraiser, we encourage you to send in the suggested amount of $60.00 by that date as well.

LABEL, LABEL, LABEL: Please write your child’s name on their new ACS t-shirts, hoodies, and jackets!

Dress for Christmas Program: Christmas colors.  Please make sure that shirts/dresses have sleeves and that dresses/skirts are knee-length.  Clothing should not be tight-fitting.

Calendar and coffee orders went home with your child(ren) yesterday.  Please note we are short one bag of Jamaican Me Crazy Whole Bean. Thank you to everyone who participated in this fundraiser!  We sold 212 calendars and 310 bags of coffee.  Congratulations to the top three highest sellers: 1st place, Eli Copenhaver $375.50; 2nd place, Caeden Battles $341.00; 3rd place, Owen, Helen, Jack, and Hank Weber $312.50!  Money is due Wednesday, November 15.

Parents of 7th-12th Grade Students: Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held in an open-house format from 3PM-6PM on Tuesday, October 24th.  Students SHOULD NOT BE INVOLVED in the conferences.

Lost & Found: There will be a table set up in the gym building with Lost & Found items on it during Parent/Teacher Conferences.  Please take time to look through the items and see if anything belongs to your child.  Whatever items are left after Wednesday, October 25, will be donated to the thrift store.  Thank you.

Calendar/coffee fundraiser orders are due tomorrow, October 18.  You may collect your money with the initial order or upon delivery, but we ask that you return all of the money for your orders at one time.  Please enclose money in a ziploc bag or sealed envelope, labeled with you child/family’s name.  Late orders do not qualify for prizes.

There will be a dress-out day this Friday, October 13, for students who said Scripture on time, have had no detentions, and have not been on red.  Girls may wear loose-fitting jeans, knee-length shorts, knee-length skirts, or loose-fitting sweat pants.  On top, girls may wear a nice dress shirt or an appropriate T-shirt.  Guys may wear knee-length shorts, loose-fitting jeans or loose-fitting sweat pants.  On top, they may wear a polo or an appropriate T-shirt.  Students may wear flip-flops.

Immunization Records: If you have not returned the slip that was included in last week’s envelope, please do so as soon as possible.

CHILD PICK UP: Parents, please drive all the way to the front of the line before picking up your children.  If you need to talk to a staff member, please park in a parking space or in the grass before doing so.  Also, please relay this information to everyone else who picks up your children.

WEEKLY ENVELOPES: Please be sure to empty your envelope when you sign it. Several are being returned signed with the information sheets, receipts, etc. still in them.

School Portraits will be taken this Thursday, September 14.  There were order forms for school pictures in your envelopes last week.  If you would like to order individual or group pictures, fill out the form and include the proper payment.  Please give it to your child to give to the photographer when your child’s picture is taken on September 14.  If you need another order form, please contact the school office.

Immunization Records: If your child does not have an updated Immunization Sheet, a slip has been included in your envelope which requests that you turn in a new one by the end of this week (September 15, 2017).

Mennonite Christian Fellowship is inviting all families to a family fun night this Sunday evening, September 10.  A softball game will start at 4:00.  There will be inflatable slides for the children.  Supper will be at 6:00.  Conecuh and hot dogs will be provided along with drinks and funnel cakes. Please bring lawn chairs.

If you have not turned in your child’s immunization records, please do so as soon as possible.

Pizza/Subway order forms for the rest of the month of August are going home today. Please include the money and fill out the form, then return it the following day. We need to receive the order forms promptly or we may not be able to order your child’s food. We will rotate cheese, sausage, and pepperoni pizza on Fridays and ham and turkey subs on Mondays. A Pizza/Subway form for the month of September will be sent home next week.

Church-School Enrollment forms are being sent home today. Please take time to complete the form and sigh BOTH dark gray lines.

Please read all enclosed information carefully! It is VERY important!

Envelope: Every Tuesday there will be an envelope that goes home with a student in each family. Please look at ALL of the information in the envelope, sign the envelope, and return it to school the next day. If the envelope is lost, there will be a $3.00 replacement fee.

Due to a funeral of a Mennonite Christian Fellowship Church member, school will be canceled on Thursday, August 17, 2017.

Bibles: This year, we are using the English Standard Version (ESV) rather than the New International Version (NIV). All students (except kindergarten) are required to have an ESV Bible at school.

There will be an out-of-uniform day this Friday, August 18, for students who brought at least one parent or guardian to the meeting Monday evening. If you are interested in after-school care, please contact Miss Bender (251-368-5499) or Mr. Battles. After-school care will be on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays until 5:30 PM. The cost will be $5 an hour per child.

There will NOT be pizza this Friday.

Welcome back to school!

Parent/Staff meeting will be Monday, August 14, at 7:00 PM.  This is a very important meeting to attend.  Important school information will be given at this meeting.

There will be an out of uniform day Friday, August 18, for the students who bring at least one parent or guardian to the meeting Monday evening.
